Peter Bergen is CNN’s national security analyst, director of the National Security Studies Program at the New America Foundation, and a research fellow at New York University’s Center on Law and Security. He is a contributing editor at The New Republic, and has worked as a correspondent for National Geographic, Discovery, and CNN.com. In 2008, he was an adjunct lecturer at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and an adjunct professor at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Bergen has reported for The New York Times, Foreign Affairs, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Wall Street Journal, TIME, and others. His books include Manhunt, The Longest War, and The Osama bin Laden I Know. Bergen holds an MA from Oxford University.

Bergen is the coeditor of Talibanistan: Negotiating the Borders Between Terror, Politics and Religion, and Manhunt: The Ten-Year Search for Bin Laden–from 9/11 to Abbottabad,  which will be available for purchase and signing following the program.
