Bergen, author of “The Longest War: The Enduring Conflict Between America and Al-Qaeda,” will speak on Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lemerand Instructional Center auditorium at Embry-Riddle, 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach.
The event is part of the Honors Program Distinguished Speakers Series. Bergen previously interviewed Osama bin Laden and will address his death and uprisings across the Islamic world. He will speak about “The Awakening: How Revolutionaries, Barack Obama and Ordinary Muslims are Remaking the Middle East (and What it means for Oil, Israel and Terrorism and American).
