New America NYC: The Story of the Hunt for Bin Laden: A Social Cinema Screening

New America NYC: The Story of the Hunt for Bin Laden: A Social Cinema Screening

A decade before America even knew his name, Osama bin Laden was being tracked by a team of mostly female C.I.A. analysts known as “The Sisterhood.” This extraordinary group of women warned Washington about Al Qaeda years before the 9/11 attacks, and their tireless efforts in the years that followed led to bin Laden’s downfall.

Manhunt wil premiere on HBO May 1st. Join New America NYC on April 22 for a pre-release screening of the documentary film Manhunt, a thriller that reveals the true story of the twenty-year hunt for bin Laden. Directed by Greg Barker and based on the book by Peter Bergen, the documentary is a true-to-life tale of espionage, with behind-the-scenes accounts from the analysts and operatives involved in the underground war on terror.

Plan to stay after the film for an exciting conversation with award-winning director Greg Barker and national security expert Peter Bergen.
